T&T Concludes Successful 1st Day of World Travel Market 2016

  Team T&T is reporting a successful first day at World Travel Market, currently underway at the Excel London Exhibition and Convention Centre in London, England.

 The Trinidad and Tobago contingent, which comprises senior officials from the TDC and THA were on hand to execute today’s agenda which included business meetings with the travel trade as well as press interviews with:

Responsible Travel

  • Adventure Travel Magazine
  • National Geographic Traveller
  • BBC Radio
  • Legardere Sports

WTM’s business visitors and journalists were invited to attend this evening’s itinerary, which included:

  • Lopinot Mariposa Estate food and drink tasting and demonstration
  • Music and dance demonstration by Tobago heritage dancers, singers and pannists
  • Parang performance

 Destination Trinidad and Tobago’s booth at the event is themed, “Retained from the past, preserved for the future, enjoyed in the present.” The theme pays homage to global travellers’ increased interest in culture and heritage and this niche, vis-à-vis our multi-cultural cuisine, festivals and unique features, attractions and way of life, is the focus of the destination’s WTM 2016 showing.
